The World's Top 10 Most Dangerous Destinations

Sure you crave adventure and have an appetite for the new and exciting, but here are some places to avoid at all costs according to Forbes.com...

Rounding out the top three are:

1. Somalia

"This Horn of Africa country has been in the grip of warlords for the last decade, fighting for control of drug and weapon trafficking rights. Risks include military clashes, kidnapping, landmines and pirates." (and they don't mean pirates of the Johnny Depp variety)

2. Iraq

Military action, collateral damage, insurgency and suicide bombings are daily occurrences in the country. Security experts say unstable areas include Baghdad and stretch from Tikrit in the north to Hillah in the south and from Mandali in the east to Ramadi in the west.

3. Afghanistan

Even though the ruling Taliban regime was officially ousted in Afghanistan in 2001, attacks from those still loyal to it and to al Qaeda continue. Military personnel and civilians are killed by improvised explosive devices daily.

And while we're at it, you might want to avoid spas that haven't come recommended by friends or reputable sources. Itar-Tass news agency reported that 17 tourists in the Caucasus spa town of Yessentuki were sent to the hospital after a nurse used hydrogen peroxide (you know, that stuff used to bleach your hair) instead of water during routine enemas. It kind of makes you rethink the rumors about Janet Jackson's coffee enemas now doesn't it?

In this instance we'll have to say DON'T Go There Girl!
